Trick or Treat

If you're on a special diet, Halloween trick-or-treating is a mine field. So what's a raw, organic vegan kid to do? I'm sure most would skip trick-or-treating, but a new website allows you to find homes in your area that are giving out treats suitable for special diets.

At NoTrickTreats.com, you can register and tell trick-or-treaters if your treats are vegan, sugar-free, gluten-free, raw, organic, kosher, or nut-free. There is enough space for you to describe your treats, so that vegan parents and kids can decide whether the vegan Skittles are acceptable, considering that the Mars company tests on animals.

And don't worry - your privacy is protected, because the site will show only your address and the description of your treats - two things that anyone would know if they came knocking on your door on October 31. Your email address is never divulged and the site doesn't even ask for your name.

So, help out some vegan kids, and let them know that you're giving out vegan treats this Halloween!
