Rue McClanahan attends PETA's 21 anniversary party in 2001.
Also, Gene Baur of Farm Sanctuary paid tribute to Rue McClanahan, who was an animal advocate and spoke out on issues such as veal and foie gras. Probably best known for her role as Blanche Devereaux on the TV series "Golden Girls," McClanahan passed away last month.
