11:59 am: Parade about to start. luckily no rain yet. lots of cool signs and banners, and running into lots of friends

12:29 pm: Chanting 'go veg go green' and 'stop global warming.' looks like a bigger crowd than last year!

12:31 pm: so much great work being done! 'meat the truth' film is being screened tonite after parade festivities

12:33 pm: Ohio-based group mercy for animals is marching today and is starting a chapter in nyc

1:19 pm: At union sq park. in line for free vegan pizza and cake

1:29 pm: Mmmm! pizza and cake from whole earth bakery are yummy! also drinking coconut water from zico

1:39 pm: listening to cheryl hill perform! still no rain. yay! but i'm feeling silly in my raincoat and rain boots

1:57 pm: Mmmm! now eating a vegan seitan empanada from the v spot, a new vegan latin restaurant!

2:42 pm: Some very funny and excellent entries in the costume contest

3:11 pm: Had a great raw chocolate coconut bar from raw revolution. my friends are cold and tired so we are leaving.had a great time! can't wait to post photos!
