Through a spokesperson, Sir Paul McCartney is calling for a worldwide boycott of McDonald's after discovering that his likeness was on display in their Liverpool, England restaurant. Photos of all of the Beatles, including McCartney, were included, and he is furious.

McCartney is a long-time vegetarian and champion of animal protection, partnering with PETA on issues such as vegetarianism and vivisection. A PETA spokesperson stated, "We hope anyone who sees his picture on the wall will be reminded that he's a vegetarian and skip the Big Mac for a veggie burger."

What was McDonald's thinking? They claim the photos were displayed to "acknowledge the outstanding contribution the Beatles made to both local and global culture." I'm thinking they just wanted to sell some hamburgers.

Normally, more pictures of Macca in public is a good thing. Not this time! Something tells me George wouldn’t have been impressed either.
