Celebrity Activist Heather Mills just donated $50,000 to animal rights! Mills was at tonight's banquet to accept the celebrity activist award, and her generosity blew everyone away!
The banquet was so inspiring and exciting. Sea Shepherd showed a short preview of Whale Wars, an upcoming 7-part TV series to be shown on Animal Planet. Captain Paul Watson gave a spectacular keynote speech, Paul Shapiro was inducted into the Animal Rights Hall of Fame, and a 14 year old girl from Georgia, Meili Swanson, received the Young Activist Award.
I'm exhausted, but looking forward to tomorrow!

So, she had to buy the award for $50K.
No, she made the donation months after she was chosen to receive the award. Unfortunately, there are people and websites out there that attack her and even publish lies to try to discredit her. Then they don’t allow comments from people who point out that they have their facts wrong.
I didn’t see a nerdy-looking woman with a laptop at AR2008, so I couldn’t say hi.
That “Sea Shepherd” trailer was awesome! Can’t wait to see the actual program.
That award came from her heart first — THEN her pocketbook. THANK YOU Heather Mills!!!
